I was really sad my first day in Perù cause was cold, cloudy and I was completely by myself.....
Two days before i was laying in a beautiful beach with ALVARO and 35 degrees .....now...chilling alone in Lima.
I didn't like Lima, the weather in this city is most of the time cloudy bacause of the effect of the ocean and the Andes. Rarely is raining but always cloudy.
The day after my arrive I met my GAP group: there were really nice people like JANE, SHUDIPA, SHUVO. Others, less nice, but this is the problem when you travel with this kind of organization.
I was and I'm against it, but was the only way to reach Machu Picchu from the Inca Trail
I spent in Lima 1 day and a half (more then enough), and then I went to Cuzco (ancient Inca's capital).
Cuzco is beautiful and the hotel really comfortable.
The wether was chilly but really sunny...I was happy!!!
Man said that the weather in Cuzco is like the tears of a woman....NEVER TRUST.
Women said that the weather in Cuzco is like a promise from a man...NEVER TRUST.
In the Andes there are 2 seasons: Rain and Dry....likely I was in the second one.
Cuzco is really high and I had problems to breath and walk....I drunk so many cups of COCA TEA...but didn't work so well....Drink cocatea is like drink a redbull (they said..).....so, exhausting days (cause was not working with me) and in the night I couldn't sleap...cause probably was working (too theine).
I got very well with JANE, 65 years old Irish woman...bit crazy and really interesting. She is a writer.
We visited Cuzco and I could see with my eyes things that I read in The Diary of Che Guevara....I saw things that he saw...has been a strange feeling for me.
Like every Inca's city Cuzco is built in the shape of an animal: in this case is the PUMA.
Peruvian people are really nice and friendly....poor but with a lot of dignity.
The cities are really clean and you feel really safe...there are policeman everywhere.
I have been around the Sacred Valley to visit comunities, museums, ancients Inca's houses....etc
ALY was my guide....really competent and nice person....I have been really really happy with him...he proved, especially at the end, to be quiet useful.
Then, I left this group and, with other 2 girls I joined another to go to the Inca Trail.
1 day in the Andes and I got sick.....I know......horrible!!!! I was waiting that moment for so many months and then.....back to the hotel.
I was really sick....but then the same night I felt better infact the pictures with 4 Canedians guys, 1 peruvian dwarf and 20 beers has been taken the same day. Pills can make miracles....
I left the camp and I met again my first group.....
So, I went to Machu Picchu by bus..... Machu Picchu is nice (by the way I got more impressed by the night in the mountain....the quantity of stars there left me without words... unbelievable).
ALLY has been as always a great guide and the story of the Lost City is really interesting and intriguing.
I climbed the mountain behind the city called: WAYNAPICCHU.I was so happy on the top that I forgot the sadness from when I had to leave the Inca Trail.
The day has been really intense.....After a visit in the city I went to Intipunko, another mountain; at the top of it there is the sun door..a really special place for the Incas
1 last day in Cuzco and then......ARGENTINA
